Content Guidelines
Content Guidelines
These guidelines exist to ensure that every film in the Guide to Videos library meets our standards for quality, authenticity, and respect for human dignity. Please read them carefully before preparing your submission.
Meeting these guidelines does not guarantee inclusion — all submissions undergo editorial review. However, films that clearly align with our mission and standards are much more likely to be accepted.
Content Standards
Every film submitted for consideration must meet the following core standards:
- Authenticity: The film must accurately represent its subject matter. Claims should be grounded in fact, and Islamic content must reflect recognised scholarly positions or clearly identify itself as personal perspective.
- Human Dignity: Content must treat all individuals and communities with dignity and respect, regardless of faith, ethnicity, nationality, or background.
- Nuance & Balance: Films should avoid reductionist or stereotyping portrayals. We encourage complexity, multiple perspectives, and honest exploration of difficult subjects.
- Production Quality: Films must be of sufficient technical quality for a viewing audience — clear audio, stable visuals, and coherent narrative structure.
